Said technician will work primarily in the field, but with opportunities for growth, including full survey-related education expenses paid by Company, on the job training and support, and licensure expenses and testing fees paid by Company. Description

- Use proper surveying techniques and equipment operations
- Develop thorough and accurate field notes, data collection, survey reports, and calculations
- Proactively provide routine communications to supervisors and project managers
- Overtime available at time and a half pay, but not required
- Out of town overnight travel not required
Position Requiements
- High School diploma
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Minimum of 1 year survey experience preferred
- Proficiency using laptop computers, data collectors, and survey related software
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather, carry heavy loads, and work long hours
- Ability to work independently or as part of a survey crew

Survey Instrument Operator – Chester County, SC
Regularly operates specialized survey equipment including manual total station, data collector, and level to perform basicsurvey operations in establishing elevations of bench marks, ground controls, profiles and cross section. Proficientlyoperates level rod to determine elevations, prism poles to provide alignment and collect topography and uses bush axeand saws to clears brush for line of sight and takes measurements as needed.
Assists with and occasionally operates robotic total stations and advanced GPS equipment. Maintains and records fieldnotes which includes profile, cross sections and topography. Reduces level notes to check for elevation precision. Assists with and/or oversees the operation, calibration and maintenance of basic equipment, and job safety including placement and maintenance of signs.
